Remini Low Quality Enhancer

One-tap fix for pixelated, low-res images: enlarges up to 2x while rebuilding detail.

FreemiumBeginnerWebiOSAndroid

Overview

Remini's low quality enhancer takes small, pixelated or compressed images and makes them usable. In one tap it enlarges the image, currently up to 2x, while reconstructing detail: sharper edges, clearer faces, less compression mush. It handles old phone photos, images compressed by chats and social media, and small downloads that need to work larger. The added detail is invented by the AI, so results are reconstructions rather than exact recoveries.

The free path is in the iPhone and Android apps, and it is paid for with ads. A Pro subscription removes them. The web version needs an account and a subscription. Developers can use Remini's business API.

When to use

Use Remini's low quality enhancer if:

  • You have photos saved from WhatsApp, old social posts or the web that came back tiny and compressed.
  • An old phone photo needs to be printed or displayed larger than it was shot.
  • Faces in a low-res image are soft, and Remini's face reconstruction is exactly what you want.
  • You want a one-tap result on your phone with no settings to understand.
  • You occasionally need this and the watch-an-ad free path covers you.

When NOT to use

Skip it if any of these describe you:

  • You need more than 2x enlargement. Dedicated image upscalers like upscale.media go to 4x and 8x.
  • You are enlarging graphics, logos or anime art. Content-specific tools, including anime upscalers, preserve line work better than a photo-trained enhancer.
  • The image must stay exactly faithful, only bigger. Remini rebuilds detail, and rebuilt detail is invented.
  • You want free use on a computer. The free ad path lives in the phone apps, and the web version needs a subscription.
  • Your photo is already high resolution and only needs editing. Use a photo editor.

Frequently asked questions

The free path is in the iPhone and Android apps, and it is paid for with ads. Some tools ask you to watch one before they run. A Pro subscription removes the ads and raises limits. The web version needs an account and a subscription.

Currently up to 2x the original size, while improving quality. If you need a small image blown up 4x or 8x, use a dedicated upscaler instead.

A plain upscaler enlarges what is there. Remini reconstructs what should be there: faces, edges and textures get rebuilt by the AI. That can rescue images a plain upscaler cannot, but the added detail is invented, so the result is less faithful to the original.

Compressed photos from chats and social media, small downloads, old phone photos, and low-res portraits. It is trained for photographs, so graphics and drawn art are better served by specialized tools.
