Kapwing Add Text

Kapwing Add Text puts words on a picture. You upload a photo, drop in a text box, and place it by dragging, with rotation. You can add as many text boxes as a meme, quote graphic or labelled diagram needs. It has a large font collection, plus a coloured outline, a drop shadow, opacity and line spacing per box. An outline or shadow is what makes white text readable on a bright photo.

It runs in a browser, needs an account, and exports standard files such as JPG or PNG. Kapwing's free plan adds a watermark to every export, and only the paid plan, a subscription, exports clean. Upgrading later re-exports old projects without the mark. Free projects are also deleted after a few days.
