Vectorpea is a free vector editor from the team behind Photopea. Vector art is built from paths and shapes rather than pixels, so it stays sharp at any size, which is how logos, icons and illustrations are usually made. It opens, edits and saves the main vector formats: SVG, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and PDF.
It loads in any modern browser with no account, and the layout follows Illustrator and Photopea closely. It is free and paid for by ads. Premium is a one-time payment, not a subscription: it runs for a set number of days, then lapses back to the free version. It removes the ads, adds cloud storage and doubles the undo history. The app is labelled beta.

When to use
Use Vectorpea when you need to work with vector files in the browser:
- You have been sent an SVG, Illustrator (.ai) or PDF file and do not own Illustrator. It opens the file, lets you change it, and exports it back.
- You want to draw a simple logo, icon or shape and do not want to install a design program for one job.
- You are on a locked-down or shared computer where installing software is not an option, since it needs neither an account nor a download.
- You already use Photopea for pixel images and want the same interface for vector art.
When NOT to use
Skip Vectorpea if any of these describe you:
- You are editing photos rather than shapes. Vectorpea works on paths, so use Photopea or a general photo editor for pixel images.
- You want to work with no ads at all. The free version shows them, and clearing them means buying Premium, which runs for a set number of days and then lapses.
- You want software you can inspect or run yourself. Vectorpea is not open source, unlike Inkscape.

SVG, Adobe Illustrator (.ai) and PDF. You can edit them and save back to any of those three. Export As also writes PNG, JPG, WEBP and GIF, plus a long list of less common formats. SVG is the standard vector format for the web, and .ai is Illustrator's own format, which few free tools open.
They come from the same team and run on the same engine, but they do different jobs. Photopea edits pixel and photo images, the work you would do in Photoshop. Vectorpea edits vector graphics, the work you would do in Illustrator. There is a third editor, Jampea, and all three share one account and one Premium purchase.
For opening, changing and exporting vector files it usually does the job, and the interface is close enough that Illustrator users find their way around. It saves back to .ai, so the file can go on to someone who does use Illustrator. The app is labelled beta.
The Photopea team, who make it, state that their editors process your files on your own device rather than sending them to a server. If a file is confidential, check the current terms before putting it into any online tool.
