Krea Clothes Changer

Krea's outfit changer puts different clothes on a person in a photo, using a photo of the person and a photo of the garment.

Overview

Krea Clothes Changer puts different clothes on someone in a photo. It takes two uploads: a clear full-body or upper-body shot of the person, and a photo of the garment. There is no prompt box and nothing to adjust. The AI redraws the outfit onto the person and works out the fit and the lighting itself. It generates an outfit that resembles the one you gave it, so a logo or exact stitching may not survive.

It is one app in the Krea suite and runs in a browser. Generating asks you to sign in. The free plan gives compute units that refresh daily, and each run spends some of them. Free output carries no commercial rights, so marketing, products or client work starts on a paid subscription.

When to use

Use Krea Clothes Changer if:

  • You want to see someone in a different outfit and you have a clear full-body or upper-body photo of them.
  • You have a picture of the garment. The tool needs one, because there is no way to describe an outfit in words here.
  • You are experimenting. The free allowance refreshes daily, so failed attempts cost only the wait until tomorrow.
  • You already use Krea Enhance or its other apps, since it is the same account and the same allowance.

When NOT to use

Skip Krea Clothes Changer if any of these describe you:

  • The result is for your shop or your marketing. Free output carries no commercial licence, so that use starts on a paid plan.
  • You need the exact garment shown faithfully, down to the logo and print. The AI reinterprets what you give it. FitRoom and other virtual try-on tools are aimed at that job.
  • You are a clothing brand producing catalog shots at volume. TheNewBlack is built for the trade rather than for one-off swaps.
  • Your photo is a tight headshot, a crowd or a person half out of frame. The AI needs to see the body it is dressing.
  • You do not want an account. You can upload without one, but generating the result asks you to sign in.

Frequently asked questions

There is a free plan with an allowance of compute units that resets daily, and no card is needed. You do have to sign in before it will generate. Each run spends a number of units depending on the model and resolution. Free output is not licensed for commercial use.

Yes. The tool takes two uploads, one of the person and one of the garment, and it will not run without both. There is no prompt box, so describing an outfit in words is not an option here.

Not on the free plan. Krea unlocks the commercial licence on its paid plans, covering marketing, products and client work. Any business use needs a paid plan, however small the job.

It will produce something close, not a copy. The shape, colour and general style carry across from your reference, while precise details like a logo, a print or particular stitching may come back altered. That is the difference between a generative outfit swap and a try-on that composites a real product onto a photo.

A clear full-body or upper-body shot, well lit, with the person facing the camera and their current clothes visible. The AI has to work out the body underneath before it can dress it. A tight headshot, a heavily angled pose or a partly hidden body gives it little to go on.

The clothes changer is a browser tool. Krea does publish an iPhone and iPad app, from KREA.AI, INC., but that app is built around generating images and does not list this tool among its own. Krea publishes no Android app, so Android users go through the mobile browser.
